I Stay Standing On Necks
So, here’s the thing—I frequently get sent clips poking fun at the therapeutic process or content. And honestly? I ABSOLUTELY love it! It amazes me how memes, GIFs, YouTube videos, and social media posts can so effortlessly capture and communicate those shared experiences we all relate to. It’s truly comedy gold, and I’m here for every second of it!

I ride so hard for the social health and wellness of Black women because I am CONVINCED that we can experience unimaginable freedom and joy—in this lifetime. 🖤✨
Also.... I’m so very very very TIRED of Black women being traumatized by a simple HUMAN desire for connection—whether it’s in friendships, family, or romantic relationships.
High-achieving, over-functioners STAY out here solving everybody else’s problems—but not our own. Then we have the nerve to finally look around and realize, “Wait...why isn’t anyone showing up for me?" Exactly. This is why standing on necks is a MUST. — (Cue the Daria theme music… IYKYK).

And the wildest part? In this work, I be' getting my behind handed to me 😅. And that's what makes it so GOOD. 🖤✨
I MODEL A SECURE ATTACHMENT SYLE.
Yup, there are ups and downs… but I’m going to stay right there with you—making room for YOUR appropriate processing of YOUR experience(s) and YOUR next step(s).
Ahht... Ahht 👀 And when I say appropriate, I mean everything—thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and all that—being in alignment with YOU SHOWING UP FOR YOURSELF. 👊🏾 Cause we be' forgetting that part 🤦🏾♀️.
And if you need to talk about the same thing 50-eleven times, then that’s exactly what we’ gon’ do—because ALL feelings are VALID to YOUR EXPERIENCE.
I don’t coddle. I don’t comfort. I don’t excuse. I don’t make your problem my problem, and I don’t make my problem yours. The magic is in the SPACE being taken up (while I'm anchored in my own personhood)—no judgment. I’m honest, transparent, and vulnerable, too.
